Thanks Greg Hayes
Yup...sorry....can't count..44 will do.
Looks like quite a good race actually with NSW visitor Vincennes looking very dangerous. Elegant Image is first up from a spell since Feb and from 30m has a task especially that Vincennes is fitter and only on 10m.
In the 3yo race Gus An Maori is first up since Dec and recently trialled winning well running his last 800 in 58.06.
However the night before at Melton in maybe one of the best clashes we will see, another NSW visitor the very impressive Arboe comes down to tackle the great Claudys Princess who in this their 2nd clash has again quite a poor draw in comparison.
If Arboe gets the lead from barrier 2 she will be very hard to run down again-meanwhile lets all barrack for Spidergirl in the same race to get her mojo back!
Then we have the Oaks with hot fav My Arya drawing the pole, looks like the winner although My Tribeca was massive last start and if closer in this race, could actually turn the tables.
In the 2yo War Dan Destroyer by rights should win and Charlie Runkle wont be far away
a great weekend squaregaiting!
So Vincennes simply too good in Bendigo Cup. Elegant Image-shocker. Unico Crown 2nd in great form, loves SS.
Gus An Maori won 3yo simply too good. Hopefully he can continue winning and live up to his InterDom winning mums talent, would be great to see Bryan Healy have another great trotter entertain us.
Arboe certainly showed us she can do her thing in Vic not just on the big Menangle track, she certainly can run. However in most of her races she has led and won or been in the death seat up the front. Having only had 6 starts i am looking forward for example at Melton, (or anywhere but Menangle) where she draws on the back row of the mobile and Claudys Princess is on the front row, so she has to come around the field.
With Arboe running her last 800 in sections of 28.5 and 27.5 shows why Claudy had trouble making ground!
In the Oaks hot fav My Arya led and won, however Amarula and Little Miss Zigzag were both out late after being held up and made very fast ground on the winner. Looking forward to when My Arya doesnt lead and Amarula and Little Miss Zigzag get a clear run.
Hot fav in the 2yo War Dan Destroyer gallopped at the start and was 127m from the winner Kyvalley Tinman who was a top run from the death seat giving Brent Lilley his 5th training success for the night and Anthony Butt his 4th winner for the night, top effort.
Charlie Runkle the standout for me, lost at least 50m after the start and only went down by 3.4m in 3rd place.
Good summary of the meetings Ash J
I was delighted to see the stewards were "on the ball" and had to look at the replay before declaring all clear in regard to Charlie and their conclusion that he did not make ground lololol on the field when he galloped oloololol…….that sure makes for a crossing your T’s and dotting your I’s ololloolololol
Look forward to a good race when Charlie, Sundons, Kyvalley & War Dan ( not necessary in that order) come off the front
As for the outstanding results of Brent Lilley, IMHO I think it will only improve for him because since he moved into his own property some 12 months ago and set it up from absolute scratch, and as he wanted, with 1000m oval track, 1000m straight track, pool and paddocks that keep all the horses happy, his results have over the past months have begun reaping the rewards from some of all his &his hard working team have put in.
Next of the 2yo's step out at Ballarat this week and if breeding/ families has anything to do with it then the unraced Keayang Yankee if she does everything right will be the interesting runner for me
Cheers Bruce, yes the Ballarat 2yo race will be interesting to see how the Keayang and the Maori horse go and further develop. They are both by Muscles Yankee and both come from the strong Maori maternal family, so are very closely related.
However both will have their work cut out with Melpark Merinda who covered a little extra ground early in her first race only being beaten by little Blitz, Calder Knight by a neck. I have no doubt she would have won with a little more luck early in that race. She has gate speed and if leads will be very hard to get past. Crown Dream has 2 half siblings Our Dreamlover and Royal Dream who both have loads of ability, this is his first mobile start after galloping at his first SS race so he hasnt had a chance to show he may have ability similar to his big brother and sister.
Two from the Maori Miss tribe on the one night.
The very promising Gus An Maori and Vincennes
Vincennes, traIned in Sydney by Blake Fitzpatrick for Pat Driscoll's Yabby Dams Farm stable won the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Trotters Cup last night, missing out the long standing track record held by A Touch of Flair by one tenth of a second. The five year old, by French stallion Ganymede from Showmethemaori, a member of the amazing Maori Miss tribe won its 15th race from only 39 starts driven by champion Kiwi driver Anthony Butt.

We may have seen the best 2yo filly in Victoria last night in Keayang Yankee with a awesome display that left no doubt as to how much better class she was than the rest of the field. After giving them 80 mts she still had the audacity to break 30 for the last and untouched going to the line ! Being the first foal from a mare that is a half-sister to the dam of Spider and a couple of the Illawong clan, maybe the female line is set to continue on for a few more decades with at least 2 more mares that keep producing top quality off spring. Her next foal ( also a filly) is a Majestic Son so more than likely will be even more precocious.
The next of the 2yo Trotters is the Vicbred Heats at Ballarat next week and we will get to see what some of us have been waiting for !
With what looks like a field of only 8 we will see Charlie, Kyvalley and the 2 that are out of the draw Sundons and Cruisin that will make it a very competitive race, throw in Skyflyer and Calder Knight it maybe a small field but the big guns are there ( with the exception of War Dan as he is not eligible to Vicbred)
In the fillies while Princess Phoenix will start the fav I would think it is wide open and barriers and manners will make for much of this 12 horse field so look forward to the final field and drawso both races should be great races to see and have a bob here or there.
I think your previews have a chance of converting me Bruce, especially with the breeding info :D

Intriguing race Saturday night... spoke to Kerryn Manning this morning re Blue Sky Commander and I'd think it could improve significantly now that she's got to know the horse better (when it ran at Adelaide it had only been in her stable a couple of days).
My Arya is scratched but Brent Lilley said today she's A-OK just a bit tired from recent travels and racing. She'll be set for a shot at the boys in the Derby.
Eljaykay Phoenix not drawn well here but obviously if near his best goes very, very close.
Gus An Maori and interesting one ... obviously very well related, won a trial really well and then came out and won first-up in nice fashion. Looks to have loads of upside.
Tips/Thoughts?
PS: Of course Illawong Armstrong a huge chance too, as well as Amarula... looks very competitive.
Yes wasnt that Keayang filly impressive, what a debut, looking for to her future races.
I think the Ballarat race is a 4 way race for the boys as you said, hopefully they all trot and we get to see a great competition, im liking Sundons Courage, his last effort after breaking was big to b so close at the end. having said that Charlie is getting betteras is Kyvalley Tinman who proved very tough last start.
The fillies is all about Phoenix, but Social Fireball was held up bad last start against the boys with plenty to offer, im looking forward to see her odds-but dont tell anyone!!
War Dan is racing at Menangle on Tues in the Breeders Challenge against the whole NSW 2yo contingent so should be good viewing.
I am a big fan of Sundons Courage Ash also, however he has a terrible natural action, almost like a dog walker, and I think that maybe as the pressure comes on in the better fields this may test him, and you add the unfortunate place has got himself in being ODM leaves me split between Charlie and Kyvalley, unlike the fillies I think this will be a tactical race and while Charlie is my pick, if Kyvalley gets to the lead then I think it will be all over based on his strong USA family.
The fillies I totally agree and because you would need to take under the odds on them behaving themselves my preference would be to have a bob for the drum on something at odds. Had the likes of Chris Alford or Haydon Grey been on A Nip Will Do ( no disrespect to the trainer as he is a excellent horseman) then this little filly would have been a roughy as she is safe and honest so I will be watching ollolololool

Going to be a good race , I like Illawong Armstrong from Amarula and at double figure odds Fabrication with his best draw for a while each way....., lay of the night I think is the favorite.- Blue Sky Commander....big step up in class and pressure ....mind you that could be because I drive a gogomobile and bookies drive Rolls Royce's
best bet of the night for me is On Thunder Road, since this guy woke up and said to himself I want to race with REAL horses and became a squaregaiter he is flying, don't really like the bandage he carries near side on the hock however just love the way he can be driven around the corners and this in itself puts him to great advantage over many he races against here, should help mums already impressive record as a broodie
for the final race surely Miracle must return to his earlier days and win.

Very cheeky Bruce but this is the Trotters Only In Here thread. The fact that he is a Bettors creates interest for pacing mortals (well this one at least)
Where was the Quote from, in the first half of your post?
Edit: I now see it was from Cody further up

heheehehehheheh Kevin it was just for you ololloloolololol, glad you got a giggle out of it........ however you must be delighted also as Bettors had a fantastic night siring 4 winners !!! well it would have been only a treble for the night................. but he also sired a squaregaiter so that gave him the 4 ollolollolollollool
Ash... The run of Illawong Armstrong on Saturday was to say the least phenomenal. Another 400ms and he nearly wins. Galloped, lost 100ms (at least?) caught field and still making ground at the end.
A Nip Will Do $19.10 the place Bruce, hope you had a fiver on it!
Princess Phoenix now has no female opposition actually apart from the Keayang filly, that'll b a clash!
Charlie Runkle solid win again in the boys, run of the race was Cruisin Around he lost heaps of ground and only went down by 2.6m-massive run.
Next highlight Thu night at Geelong with 3 and 4yo Vicbred heats that sees some good racing but should be some Hot Favs dominate namely Endsino vs Reina Danzante in the 3yo fillies and Illawong Helios from barrier 2 looking for win 9 in a row.
The boys are way more even although if Illawong Armstrong can trot he could win by 50m...
YES Ash J threw 50 in the exotics and very happy going to bed olloolololol
Boys race was really as predicted, after the shock late scratching of Sundons Courage it really became a 3 horse race and while Cruisin Around seems to be a fantastic run you really have to take what was left in the race IMHO- keeping in mind also, it was a heat and they are 2yos J
The next and final of the heats will be run at Maryborough next week and again as it stands PP will start very short in the fillies and barring mishaps will win unless something can find 70 mts, unfortunately Keayang Yankee was withdrawn from the Vicbred series so she we won’t get to see the dual that is yet come soon L
The boys are different, the pool is small and unless a new one comes out of the Maryborough heats we really have seen the leading contenders for the final. The really disappointing news is Sundons Courage that was not only a late scratching but has a “stood down indefinite” against him now so until we see the Stewards report we will not know what happened there unless someone was there ???
War Dan was so tough yesterday and in tough conditions and to go down as he did it is most disappointing he is not a Vicbred and certainly gave us a insight into the NSW 2yo’s J
I started counting the tide of winners coming from Pat Driscoll's Yabby Dams Farms enterprise with various trainers over the past 3 weeks or so.
I think 8, but may have missed some:
May 30 Fiery Mountain Girl : NSW Derby
June 6 Vincennes: Bendigo Trotters Cup
June 12 Reina Danzante at Kimore
June 14 A Bitofmagic and Hosier Lane (pacer) at Bendigo
June 16 Parisian Chic, Justines Amore and Eilish Monarch at Menangle.
Have I mssed any?
Glenferrie Burn
Thanks Nathan
Here's the revised Yabby Dams Farm winners list:

Yabby Dam Farms update.
Thanks to eagle-eyed Leigh.
I missed Agent Maori at Fairfield on June 8
So since May 30, it's 13 winners for the Pat Driscoll team:

Good one on Heavenly Sister. I just didn't made the bet though. https://imagicon.info/cat/10-3/smile4.png
Just quickly, well done and well deserved Sundons Courage winning the 2yo boys Vicbred Final! Top run-trotted-had a good barrier-showed em whos boss! Didnt have a bet, but $8.50 for him, damn, wish i did!
Lucky you posted Ash, after a full trotting program last night and one at Mary last week, I was thinking that I might have to close this thread out of a lack of interest :o
Yes Kev was meaning to get on pre Maryborough but just didnt get around to it, anyway heres how i saw the finals night.
Race 1.
Pipe Me Home led all the way, quite impressive, i think the mobile and this distance suits her best, it was her best run to date.
Monica My Dear came home well,
Race 2.
Lindy Vale too good, thats it.
Race 3.
Claudys Princess 4yo mares, too good, wins her 3rd Vicbred great stuff. Illawong Helios had a hell draw, held up, flew home, would like to see a closer draw/competition sometime.
Race 4.
2yo fillies-Princess Phoenix way too good. Social Fireball a way better run this time 2nd. and keep an eye on The Cooler, will win a lesser race very soon after only her 3rd start.
Race 5.
FFA
Foray wins good run, Lord Liam first up great run for him against these looks like he may be going up a level potentially. Spider girl was held up bad and actually broke from being held with nowhere to go-promising from her, will be great to see the real Spider back.
Race 6.
3yo boys Fabrication great run racing super wins. Valley Ess Jay 2nd a tad disappointing for me, and of course Illawong Armstrong gallops loses heaps of ground comes home like a train 3rd.
Race 7.
4yo boys and Im Stately big run, 3 wide first 3/4 of a lap took lead and won his 2nd Vicbred after missing his 3yo series. Savannah Jayjay flew home after being held up about 3 or 4 pegs, maybe a good thing beaten?
Race 8.
3yo fillies and Reina Danzante wins, getting better each run had a cosy run behind leader. Endsino pulled very hard in death and that was too hard. In fact the other Gath horse also pulled like a train… Sky Petite great run for 2nd.
Race 9.
2yo boys and Sundons Courage shows great fight as he does and grabs favorite Cruising Around on the line after giving him a big start at the 600. Big Jack Hammer gets 3rd good improved effort. Shame Charlie Runkle was scratched.
Race 10.
Glenferrie Dreamer continues his newly refound form after an ordinary Menangle stint. Action Kosmos good run for runner up.
Race 11.
Monte. Top first Monte by Will Atone ran last 800 in 58.6 beating the in form Star Gun who came of 20m by about 15m. Matt Craven bought Will and has now had 5 starts for 3 wins a 2nd and a 4th! great stuff.
Race 12.
3yo Vicbred trot…Gus An Maori led won by 23m, end of story.
Why would tonights mobile TM0+ at Melton for $20,505 only attract 6 acceptors?
It's nearly time for Trotting Heaven.
The Redwood Carnival at Maryborough with 3 days of trotting races.
Friday 31, Saturday August 1 and Sunday August 2.
Check out the MTC website:

Thought you were referring to Stawell on Wednesday Noel :)
No wonder I got Maryborough mixed up with Stawell - there are 3 trots races at Stawell on Wednesday!
Roll on ....
Great audio interview with Michael Taranto talking about Trotting- his "stable" on 3 different Continents, the future, Breeding and general state of play.
If this doesnt get you interested in squaregaiters (Mr. O'Donoghue) nothing will...
