Equal track record at Warragul Wednesday to the evergreen 10-year-old Grins Rendition rating 1:57.2 in winning his second race in a row
I have already mentioned Divine State's Australasian Record here
http://www.harnessracingforum.com/sh...p-Racing/page2
Well, trusting Club Menangle to be correct, Atomic Red has set a World Record for 3yo's over 2400m in his heat of the Derby by rating 1.54.4
http://clubmenangle.com.au/racing/track-records/
They were running fast times at Yarra Glen today with the fastest coming in the last.
Majordan's 1.55 was only half a second off the Track Record and I* don't know whether there have been any faster halfs than his 54.7 and he was well clear

I just noticed that Better Than Max took a big chunk off the Bathurst track record last night when he rated 1.52.7
It would have been interesting if Anything For Love had started

They are listing Messini's 1.56.0 MR for the 2,423m Ouyen Cup as a NTR - not that I can find an old one listed.
If I had told you 10yrs ago that they would be running those times over a mile and a half on a 769m track would you have believed me?
Gee that guy would have to be an 'old timer' nowadays ;)
Tiger Tara with a mile rate of 1:55.2 took 1.5 seconds of Smolda's old track record (over 2,525 metres) in Penrith's Renshaw Cup tonight.
The Tiger won by almost 27 metres in what was a brilliant performance.
Lady De La Renta went 1.55.1 in heat Of 2yo WA Sales Classic at GP tuesday. Only her 2nd start. Broke some record they say
Well over an inch of rain last night did not hurt times at Horsham today
The last race C1 got within a second of the Tk Rec and a 3yo went 1.55.8 at only its second start in the fourth
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...S210417&ms=vic
(I have to plead guilty to being in Horsham but not going)
It was mentioned elsewhere that Our Little General broke the Hamilton Tk Rec for 2160m last Thursday when he went 1.55.3
Today Franco Jameson broke the Warragul Tk Record for 2210m rating 1.56.6 and in so doing put a halt to Professor Tom's winning streak
http://www.harnesslink.com/Australia...am-at-Warragul
3yo Filly, Carlas Pixel's 1.55.4 in a C0 at Geelong was only 1.1 sec outside the Tk Rec
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#GEC01061704
Franco Jameson went virtually straight up for sale after that race.
No connection Kev, just information for our learned forum readers.
Although I would add that I wouldn't put a horse up for sale if it had just broken a track record and beat a very good horse in the process. Why would you do that?
Tricky Styx's 1.54.8 MR for 2536m at Gloucester Park tonight was only 0.1 sec outside Im Themightyquinn's Tk Rec
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...wa#GPM09061726
Yes, snuck under the guard. Run oneover seems to overrace a lot and lets the other horses in with a chance. Heez on fire didn't fire a shot either.
Chicago Bull also went pretty quick for the 2100. 1.53 is becoming pretty common place at GP these days. next up is 1.52. couldn't have imagined that 10 years ago when 1.58 was impressive
I should mention our little guy Jack Mac broke the Pearl record by a couple secs last night too.
Katie, they are certainly flying. I suppose one good thing for those who haven't got a fast horse is that you can sneak in a win in a 2130m race in 1:58 at GP mainly a C1-C4 or MO but once you get past that then the times goes into mid 1:50's. The 2 y/o girls ran good time last week too. We used to be happy if one of our horses ran 1:59 but those days are virtually over. This speed explosion seems to have really picked up in the last 12 months and track records don't last long if you have a real good one in your stable.
A little belated but a brilliant time 1:54.8 for 2536 mtrs by Tricky Styx at GP just outside the 1:54.7 track record of I'm Themightyquinn. You know you're in for a fast time when Run Oneover leads up the field.
As new caller Luke Humphrey expressed so well after they crossed the line, the 2yo Restricted at Melton rated 1.55.2
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#MXC14061712
Race 3 was only a C1 at Melton tonight but it was a $10k final and a couple of 3yo's put on a show
with Tintin In America filly Shartin going to the death and proving marginally too strong of for the colt Jilliby Kung Fu who was $1.20 favourite
They rated 1.52.5 and came home in 55.1
In her first season of racing she has now won 5/7 (Jilliby Kung Fu has won 9/18)
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#MXM17061705
Shartin?!?! do... do they know what a shart is... ?
Our trotter broke some trotting record at GP last night. Nothing outrageously fast compared to other states and pacers but we'll take it: 2.00.7 for a 2536m mobile . She does good, our Sunny
Americanbootscoota went 1.52.5 at GP tonight to equal track record
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...wa#GPM04081731
Thanks Katie, impressive : opened with 27.5 Q1 finished with 27.1 Q4
Has been running some really good times of late. A very versatile horse and has not run a sprint for quite a while so a great effort.
I reckon Dont Hold Back has flashed home in 25 something 5W tonight.
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#MXM12081704
2yo Sicario's easy 1.55 over 2150 at Bendigo tonight was only 0.4 off the Open Track Record
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#BNC19081707
Didn't even appear to shake the reins. Maturing with every start; he'll be favourite for the final. NSW bred, Melbourne owned, NZ trained (in NSW) by a training partnership, currently in Canada, driven by a NSW driver who hails from QLD. That should ensure a fair spread of the stakemoney.
Fantastic time by Sicario. Poster Boy put in a very good run and if he can get a bit closer to the front early on in the final he will still be hard to beat.
The Gp2 Crown Graduates was a ripper.
Ameretto's 1.53.3 for 2240m was only 0.8 secs outside Lazarus's Tk Rec and she was wide for a while early and then 3w for the last lap (with cover)
The first five were all terrific runs
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#MXM25081701
MR MOJITO very close to the track record for 1680m at Terang today
Unbelievable effort Pat. Coming off 2nd line, Race 7 on a Rain Affected track and he rates 1.53.9, only 0.2 outside the record
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#TEC29081701
I watched it but hopefully they will get some videos up so that I/we can look at it again
