I find this out after I've backed her :(

An extract from the rule:
Results of blood samples consistently reveal elevated TCO2 levels, however they fall
just below the threshold and therefore no action can be taken. This indicates that
trainers are administering alkalinising agents on raceday.

Very disappointing to think that Matty Craven is pushing the rules after his raw emotion after the win last week
And he is being featured as a lead story on both the HRV and HRA homepages
I know he is not guilty of anything but the quote in post 642 makes it clear that the stewards do not think that everything is squeaky clean
I would like him to come out and refute it
Makes me sick actually - is our industry a joke and supposed horse lovers just $ driven
I suggest you listen to Mattie Craven's interview with Paul Campbell where he covers this in the conversation
Where would I find it Carol?
Found it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj4bLbTw5cM
It is about 19 minutes in folks. Mattie Craven basically says it is an 'unkown'
He said Pink Galahs has been on a modified program for 8wks (as opposed to surgery) so she has obviously required treatment
It is a plus that HE raised it in the interview.
Under different interview circumstances the interviewer may have asked the hard question:
"Do you refute the premise of the Elevated TCO2 policy - that your horse has been administered alkalinising agents on race day?"
Sorry Kev - I usually only log into the forum first thing in the morning - glad you found it.
Paul Campbell has a website where all his interviews etc are found (or you can find on podcasts etc).

An interesting 2nd starter in the maiden trot at Bendigo tonight
Dreamcatcher SWE He is a 7yo now and only had the one start as a 3yo
The dam Saorse won $370k and is the half sis to superstar Westgate Crown
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...20#BNC20102007
I didn't realize that Dreamcatcher has had a little stint at stud and has 11 weanlings/yearlings on the ground
He won tonight
Vic Trotters Derby heats on Sunday at Maryborough with the Final the following Sunday
That will amount to 4 runs in 4 weeks for Pink Galahs - no small program for a 3yo filly on a modified program because of some concern/injury
Only 2 heats so the first 5 are guaranteed a start in the final
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...20#MHC25102004
It was blowing a gale down the home straight but nevertheless you would have to say that Elite Stride was disappointing in his heat.
It was only his second loss in 11 starts but maybe it was the 2690m
Pink Galahs had a cushy run to beat Powderkeg who returned to form
Gimondi from NSW was too strong in the other heat
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=MH251020
They all stood beautifully for release in The Redwood but sadly after that the start/first 200 was a mess for all but 4 runners really :(
I know there was only $2,285 in the pool but The Daily Double was big unders today. An all up bet on Mexicana and Pink Galahs returns $8.40 while the DD only paid $4.70
That is not much better than 7/2 compared to 15/2
You had to love the first trot at Melton tonight (R3)
Nowhere is it written that an odds on fave should be given an easy time of it and these horses most definitely were not going to concede to Swiss Miss

Rivals in the Gp3 Graeme Lang Classic tonight Sangreal and Banglez are from the same family. Broodmare gem Fionas Flair is their 3rd or 2nd dam
I am guessing that Aldebaran Ursula's 1.55.7 had to be a record for a 2yo/early 3yo trotter especially a filly

Did you go Noel?
How Gentleman Sir still is allowed to totally f*** up races is beyond me.
I am with you this time Brendan
What is 64 rated Genteleman Sir doing in the 80-120 rated Gp1 Maori Mile on Saturday night
and 69 rated Fear Not for that matter
Only being a mile race it would be much better with 8 runners only anyway
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#BNM09012109
You have to feel for John Justice - he went to Cranbourne today for the one drive - Gentleman Sir, who blew the start of course
Ships Spur is now the sire of a winner, Black And Gold winner at Bendigo tonight will be his one and only winner
Ships Spur, now a gelding, only sired 2 foals for Sheron Park (Kevin Riseley) and B&G is the only one to race
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#BNC27012107
Thanks John, yes my bad - Sheron Park bred Ships Spur but Shippy owned him and obviously bred a couple from him
If you breed an Art Major like the Salathiels did
You have to be unlucky to have a trotter
I say that because Art Major has 20 pages of $50k+ winners on HRA
but his only trotter over $30k is Lucky Twenty Three who won $48k
Anyway after a handful of starts as a 3yo pacer
the Salathiels Sheza Chocolatier has had 15 starts as a trotter
After her win at Shep tonight she has won 2 of her last 3 so if she keeps it up she may make a good broodmare
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#SPC29012108
I love high speed trotters like Majestuoso and watching that effort by Majestic Man to smash the Tk Rec tonight could convert me to the gait
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#MXM30012108
Unbelievable
An 11yo pacer with 330 starts to her name
Having her first start as a trotter (at Melton!)
Hollys Miss Molly
Unfortunately she broke at the start, took no part in the race, and finished 214.7 metres behind.
Might be kinder to let her retire, and continue her good work off the track.
Good to see only fields of 9 for the Great Southern Star over the sprint trip
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=MX050221
Heat 1 at 7.22
Heat 2 at 7.52
Final 10.22
There must be some super trainers in Heat 2 as they have entered horses first up - or maybe they are only looking for a heat win
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=MX050221
The 2nd heat was fantastic
Andyou qualifying for the final is a joke - he is a nice horse but his not being able to keep up contributed to the field splitting
Like the heats - 8 in the final would make sense over the short trip
I am finding this format exciting tonight
(I don't think it is just because I became a grandpa for the 4th time today - sailed past Melton on my way to St Vincent's)
Tornado Vallley REMARKABLE
Congratulations Kev,
Although Tornado Valley and the Gaths were the stars of the night, you have to admire and feel for Magicool, Robbie O'Connell and Zac Phillips as they were the run of the Final
