Two Love You 3yo's to put in your black book
Only a head separated Sweet On You and Central Otago in their heat at Maryborough today
They are both from fantastic dam lines and their time of 1.58 was only 1.5 outside the open Tk Rec
Check out their acceleration over the last 100m (when the replay gets up - a bit slow today but they may be trying to clean up the call, which sounds dreadful on the TAB replays)

ps the run of the 3rd horse in the death was very respectable and he too is a well bred Love You
Amazing - even 8yo NZ trotters are proving attractive to Aussie buyers

Only cleared from NZ on March 5 and had been unplaced at its previous 10 starts in very ordinary company. Either it's grown two legs in the two and a half weeks it's been here or the opposition aren't worth feeding. I'm leaning towards the latter and while HRV's Robin Hood policy of taking stake money off the winner to subsidize the also fans to to the tune of $140 to make up the numbers the situation won't change.
It had already won $80.00 and 9 Races, it was well served by the national ratings system
Meziah won the trot at Mildura last night and is Odds On to win the trot at Globe Derby tonight - I hope they give him Sunday off ;)
$25k Bendigo Trotters Cup tomorrow night

And here's an article about the Aldebaran Park Bendigo Trotters Cup from the Bendigo Addy's Kieran Iles:

At Stawell today, Chrisken Kiosk was going around and I thought the driver's colours stood out beautifully
I think he might be Ken Browne's only horse and so the colours also have C and K in the Quarters along with upside down horseshoes U
What has become of me when I can't look at them without thinking of a four letter word
(Sorry Ken)
Left Right Andcentre 13yo first win for 3½ years

NEWS FLASH Captaintreacherous can throw a trotter

There may have been some debate about whether the race should have been a Grp1 but Plymouth Chubb's win was Group quality after making an early mistake

Training partnership Emmett and Richard Brosnan really had EQUAL success at Melton tonight
They trained the winners of the R3 and R7 trots and they shared driving duties
With Emmett on Aldebaran Huey returning $18.90
while Richard on Sun Body returned $17.90
Maybe a bit of spec'ing by the wider family made it a very profitable night?!

Time to give them the flick when the trifecta of the 3yo bous race at Menangle was by default and then 5 mins later Sparkling Success gallops at Melton
But the win by 3yo Sebastian K gelding On Advice was pretty impressive in 1.54.5 Breno (and the leader was a good run too)
Classic Connection will be the first European trotter to shuttle to Australia

I think Kilmore have designed Thursday night's meeting especially for Brendan
= THREE MAIDEN TROTS
;)

An interesting new addition to the stallion ranks this season is Elite Stride
https://harnesslink.com/new-zealand/...son-at-alabar/
There are other sons of Muscle Hill available in Australia but I am not sure how many shuttle/are not frozen only
Could have gone in What A Run thread
Majestuoso, he sure is special

The state of the track has to be taken into consideration not the times
Melton winner tonight Queen Of Crime is not bred to be a trotter
She is a full sister to Crime Writer and her two 2yo starts were as a pacer
I haven't found any trotters in her damline nor have I found another Sportswriter trotter
But QOC has won her last 3 for 4 wins from 15 starts now

Captain Corey by Googoo Gaagaa (Cams Rocket) is the winner of the Hambletonian while Bella Bellini by Muscle Hill is the winner of the Oaks
I found the Captain Corey replay interesting - his front legs appear perfectly straight as he has such a long stride
https://harnesslink.com/usa/captain-...onian-victory/
Let the replay of the Oaks run to the end and you will see that US harness goers/owners are very casual dressers too

Kilmore Metro tomorrow night and 5/11 races are trots
I am going to have to start following the trotters
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=KI210821
Sofia Arvidsson will have to be in trouble for her winning drive on Aldebaran Tess
In the USA she would have been disqualified

Long odds on Trotter = Oxymoron
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#HSC23082108
I might start following them but I would VERY rarely bet on them
Dance Secret won his 3rd from 9 starts at Menangle today
I don't know that A Rocknroll Dance has any other trotters
I think the origins may be the 2nd dam by Safely Kept

The $25k Shep Trotters Cup is something special tonight for a 'non-metro' meet

How are our girls Pink and Sleepee going to go when they have to meet this lady

The three trotters derby heats kick off at 2.14 at Maryborough today
The first and third heats both have a couple of fillies tackling the C&Gs
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=MH241021
It is Redwood and Derby day at Maryborough on Sunday, an all trot affair as is the case with their meeting today
The Redwood always worries me a bit. 2yo trotters from the stand can be troublesome enough but having a 2nd row of them makes it very dicey for those on the 2nd line as not only do horses like favourite Plymouth Chubb have to get away they have to avoid any gallopers/slow pokes on the front line. At the age of 2 I reckon just a front line of 8, if they can fit them, would be preferable.

Enjoying all the Breeders Crown heats at Maryborough today
Have a look at R6, it was great viewing

Gentleman Sir is going around as the outsider of the field in the next at Hamilton, a NR 30+, he would have got a start in the Interdominion if they hadn't scratched him
Plymouth Chubb could convince one to follow the trotters
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#BNC10122108
A pity they had to accept Gentleman Sir's nomination for R1 at Cranbourne tonight.
It is a NR67+ race and he is only a NR56
He will more than likely just prove an obstacle for others to get around
In his 11 races this season/yr he has finished last or 2nd last except for one - in which he was still beaten 50m

An unusual first starter at Maryborough tomorrow
7yo My Mate Max
He is the only foal of the unraced dam and she is the only living foal of the unraced 2nd dam
