Looks like they have forgotten about Major Crocker
Never in doubt Katie
Hi Kevin , I'm not very good at putting photos on, and don't know why it came out so big ,but this is a great photo.
A somewhat smaller version is now in the Great Pics thread Trish :)
Thank you Kevin.
Good day for punters at Maryborough today with 7 favourites getting home.
Bechers Brook debuts at Northam tomorrow - the full brother to Our Waikiki Beach. Two impressive trial wins at Byford recently in preparation
Thanks for the heads up Kyle. R1 7.17pm AEST

He looked the goods!
A COLT we would all love to own (with an eye to the future/breeding barn)
What a pedigree, super sires galore and as well as OWB as his full bro, I love seeing my old favourite Chandon in there (half bro to 2nd dam)

yes, not bad time for a 2 y/o either.
It won again today at GP...

Cursing the handicappers at RWWA , had a horse nicely lined up for an RO and missed a gig because of the points in reverse system meant that he was supposedly the best horse in the field despite never having won a race, or even got a place in his 4 starts , the last of which was 7 months ago....... so ended up on a race in which at least 6 horses had won and some had won 3. Work that out.

Good that RNSW brought this place for the galloping ponies . Maybe HRNSW can do the same thing.

Did HRNSW buy this?? Anyone know??
I know I have mentioned this family before but with (Our) Lady Madonna winning at Yarra Valley today and me being a huge Beatles fan, here it is again
Lady Madonna - Back in the USSR - Paperback Writer - Norwegian Wood

Norwegain Wood was where it all began

Great little story Kev, may it continue.
My dad has two nominated for WA horses of the year, which is pretty special to the family. Jack Mac for 2yo colt or gelding and Sunnys Little Whiz for Aged Mare. She's up against the pacers, which makes it tough seeing as though we only have 1 Group One trotting race in WA. I think The Parade will win based on big races. We're very proud of them both and I'm proud as punch of Barry. Will probably never again have the season we did this year so enjoying it immensely while it lasts.
It will be interesting to find out why Echuca has been cancelled/abandoned (Sky and TAB saying so EVEN if HRV not showing so)
Echuca does not have a regular BOM weather update but nearby Kyabram is only showing 7mm of rain this afternoon
HRV cannot afford to lose 10 races
Like I said no real weather observations available for Echuca but they must have got it before Kyabram as Kyabram have had another 10mm since I posted about the 7mm
'Marburg top place for a fun punt' says the story
http://www.harnesslink.com/Australia...bletonian-wins
A fun?/small punt is all it would be as the Bookie was absolutely giving nothing away at this Non TAB
I don't know which was the worst market LOL
Maybe the last where we saw $1.60 $2.20 $3.00 $3.60 $4.60 all in the market

Stawell harness racing club has Poker night on Mondays, maybe clubs not already hosting poker should consider it as there will be plenty of players looking for a game as the government on August 9 passed the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill (2016) effectively banning all online gambling sites that are not locally licensed under Australian State or Territory law.
Anybody know what was the cause of the Vic TAB's problems yesterday. They put all the races back one but even then had to start meetings even though they could not take bets until the 3rd race
Any non connection going to Kilmore tonight deserves to receive a $100 bill on entering.
At 5.30 the Feels Like Temperature at nearby Kilmore Gap Weather Station is already Below 3°
Be a cool night for those hardy enough to venture out, especially if there is a bit of rain.
How is this for a winning margin, the caller got a bit carried away calling it 80m
The filly was far too good for the older mares but I am not sure that any of them are likely to find the winning post in the foreseeable future as the time was not sizzling

I haven't read it before but seeing as there are 3 WA horses in the Breeders Crown heats, I took a look at the form analysis for Bendigo. Jason Bonnington writes really nicely. A really good form wrap up unlike WA's "this horse is an each way chance, and this horse is an each way chance. That one's a novelty hope. As is that one. And tht one. And that one and this one. They're allllll each way hopes or novelty chances!!! Hurrahhh"
I know we are talking late 2yo but it has to be exciting to have a 2yo win in 1.55.2 at his first start, especially when the Open Tk Record is only 1.54.4
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#HSC21081707
Maybe I have not been following them closely enough but it seems ages since we had one lose a race on protest (Vic)

bit unfortunate first few words there.
What a difference one letter can make LOL
The locals certainly stitched up Emma Stewart's $1.30 fav in R5 at Terang tonight
