How long can Volstead's service fee remain at $7,500US.
I suppose with Vic the trotting state and prizemoney going backwards, breeders are not going to want to pay more
(Chapter Seven is $40,000US)

If I was a US breeder I would be looking at Volstead for <20% of Ch7's fee

I reckon if things were booming down here, one of the big trotting identities might have considered whisking Volstead away from the USA (as I am not sure they are valuing him the way Aussies will be)

I had not heard of the sire Uniclove FRA: sire of the winner of R1 at Charlton today - Keayang Francisco (5yo)
It turns out that KF is the only progeny of Uniclove in Australia. Today was her first win after 7 starts as a 4yo last season.
She will no doubt become another Levarg Racing Group broodmare
I figure KF is Uniclove's one and only because her dam Beautiful River FRA was in foal when Yabby Dam Farms imported Beautiful River
It is interesting to note that Beautiful River's next foal to Volstead in Australia is the very promising Lotus Louise (5 wins from 6 starts as a 2yo last season)

The inability of the horses to trot was a disgrace in the two trots races at Stawell today
Such displays must lose us punters and be harmful to the code
